Arai Corsair-X Hayden Laguna Unisex-Adult Motorcycle Helmet - White/Red/Black / Medium

The Arai Corsair-X Helmet has taken helmet technology and rider protection one step further by engineering a helmet that not only guards against direct impacts but is specifically designed to minimize the forces of "glancing off" impacts as well. Constructed from super fiber and other special synthetic fibers developed for F-1 helmet visor panels, the Corsair-X Helmet has a stronger shell and smoother shape that is more likely to redirect impact energy rather than absorb it, thereby decreasing the amount of force transferred to the body.

To increase the potential to glance off impact energy, the VAS (Variable Axis System) side pod and pivot cover are smaller in size, and their position on the shell is lower. This variable axis (moving pivot point) allows the shield mounting position to be lower than most helmets, providing better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding. The VAS MAX Vision shield, which comes standard with a clear anti-fog Pinlock insert, ensures a de-mist position to slightly crack the shield open.

Assembled and bonded by Arai experts, the Corsair-X Helmet features a specially-developed resin that creates stronger bonds between the shell materials with less weight. The shell has superb tensile strength due to a variety of carefully-positioned materials and lightweight resin, and the helmet is DOT Approved and Meets FMVSS 218 Standards.

The dual-function lever releases both the side pod and the face shield, allowing for quick and simple face shield removal. The larger latch design provides intuitive and seamless operation, capturing and holding the face shield closed securely.
