Arai Contour-X Motorcycle Helmet for Unisex Adults

The ARAI helmet features a well-designed logo duct that operates effectively at low speeds and in an upright riding position. This duct can be easily opened or closed using summer or winter gloves via a short-stroke lever positioned at the top. If the rider cannot see the lever and the logo is in its standard location, the duct remains open.

The aerodynamic rear spoiler is positioned slightly more forward on the shell and is fed by three ports, efficiently drawing air. Additionally, it smooths the airflow over and around the sides of the helmet, improving stability and reducing turbulence, especially when overtaking at highway speeds, resulting in significantly less rider fatigue.

The 3D ARAI logo duct, measuring just 3.5 mm in depth, supplies air through two centrally located 10 mm intake ports. Importantly, the logo duct is designed to detach upon impact, ensuring no compromise to the helmet's protective performance.

The helmet is DOT Approved and meets FMVSS 218 safety standards. It features a one-piece aerodynamic rear exhaust/spoiler, operated by a 3-way switch, inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X but redesigned for touring use. Manufactured to be as thin and lightweight as possible, the rear spoiler is engineered to crush or break away on impact, without affecting the protective capabilities of the inner EPS liner.

The sliding chin vent actuation mechanism is thicker and easier to use with gloves. The design allows for simple integration of communication systems on the shell exterior without compromising the protection provided by the inner EPS liner.

The 3-position (open, midway, and closed) sliding air-scoop chin vent delivers a large volume of incoming air and features a replaceable filter. The outer shell's organic, stylish shape is constructed using Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2) for lightweight strength and integrated side ducts.

An extra layer of super fiber belting in the outer shell maintains rigidity in a crucial area while offering flat sides for easy fitment of an intercom system.
