The completely redesigned XD-5 is packed with a multitude of new features. As with all Arai products, every improvement is prioritized for protection. This new model brings the design ever closer to the ideal Arai shape for maximum protective capabilities. One of the most significant changes is the visor system and its visor. The new VAS-A visor system, derived from the VAS-V system originally developed for the Corsair-X, has been designed to enhance Glancing-Off performance. This means a larger surface area to dissipate impact energy, while offering easy installation and removal of the visor and peak. The visor itself has been redesigned for increased visibility and is now a Max Vision visor, allowing for easy Pinlock insert installation. The new VAS-A visor system also makes it simpler, without the need for tools, to switch between Adventure, Off-road, and On-road styles. The XD-5 is DOT FMVSS No.218 Certified, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.
