Arai Corsair-X Nicky Reset Unisex-Adult Motorcycle Helmet - Black/White/Red / X-Large

Arai presents the Corsair-X Nicky Reset Helmet, paying homage to the late American legend Nicky Hayden. This beautifully detailed version of Arai's flagship helmet features the "Reset and Push Harder" graphic that Nicky wore during his time with the Aspar Team in MotoGP, allowing you to sport the classic number 69.

Arai has taken helmet technology and rider protection one step further by engineering a helmet that not only guards against direct impacts, but is specifically designed to minimize the effect of "glancing off" impacts as well. The Corsair-X Helmet has a stronger shell and smoother shape that is more likely to redirect impact energy than absorb it, thereby decreasing the amount of force transferred to the body.

Constructed from Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers developed for F-1 helmet visor panels, the helmet is assembled and bonded by Arai experts. The specially-developed resin creates stronger bonds between the shell materials with less weight, resulting in a shell with superb tensile strength due to a variety of carefully-positioned materials and light-weight resin. The helmet is DOT Approved and Meets FMVSS 218 Standards.

The Corsair X Helmet features Arai's exclusive VAS (Variable Axis System) shield and side pods. The variable axis (moving pivot point) allows the shield mount position to be lower than most helmets, and the dual-function lever releases both the side pod and the face shield for quick and simple face shield removal. The larger latch design provides intuitive and seamless operation, capturing and holding the face shield closed securely while also providing a de-mist position to slightly crack the shield open.

The X Type 12 air diffusers are longer than the Corsair V, and they work together with the AirWing to improve stability and create a 19% gain in efficiency. The air intake vents have three positions (closed, half open, and fully open), and they are easy to operate with gloved hands, creating a tight seal to decrease wind noise and water intrusion.
